Employment Opportunities - Technical & Medical Translators

RIC International is able to guarantee the quality of our work because of the strict guidelines we have established for selecting translators, editors, localization engineers, and interpreters who work with us. Although we require exacting professionalism in all areas, working with RIC International has clear advantages. We handle some of the most interesting and exciting assignments in the industry. We welcome Curriculum Vitae (CV) from those at the top of their profession.

If you are a translator or a translation editor with a degree in engineering, computer science, medicine, or the life sciences, please look at our Translator Qualifications section to see if you meet our requirements. Please note that to be considered for translation assignments from RIC International, you must have at least full-time equivalent of seven years of professional translation experience in addition to subject matter expertise in an area of engineering or medicine. Accreditation with the following is a plus but is not required. RIC International conducts its own accreditation process for qualified candidates.   • American Translators Association;
  • U.K. Institute of Translation & Interpreting (ITI);
  • Japan Association of Translators;
or an equivalent national translator testing and accreditation organization;

Simultaneous interpreters must have at least 2 years of conference interpreting (booth) experience and a total of 7 years of professional interpreting experience. They must hold accreditation from the UN, the IMF, NATO, the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC), the US State Department, or similar organization. Consecutive interpreters must have at least five years of interpreting experience.
